SP Televisão is the leading reference among independent production companies in Portugal, founded in 2007 by a team and shareholder structure with over 25 years of experience in the national audiovisual market.
Its portfolio includes more than 56 projects, ranging from telenovelas to series, sold to over 142 countries across five continents. Over its 19 years of activity, it has established itself as one of the most successful and visible audiovisual production companies, both nationally and internationally, having received around 150 awards and nominations for its fiction projects, including an International Emmy Award in 2011 for the telenovela Laços de Sangue.
Based in the Lisbon district, SP Televisão operates a production hub with six studios totaling 5,400 m², as well as top-tier technical resources and renowned professionals, enabling it to provide a wide range of services across different areas of the audiovisual sector and ensure the success of any project.
The SP Televisão Group includes SPi, a production company focused on the development and production of international projects, with a broad catalogue of series, documentaries, and sitcoms available across various streaming platforms. It was also the producer of Portugal’s first Netflix original series, Glória.
SP Entertainment is also part of the SP Televisão universe and focuses primarily on the production and development of original entertainment content, both for television and in the creation and production of new formats, events, and experiences. One of its most recent projects is AH, AMÁLIA – Living Experience, the first immersive biographical experience dedicated to a Portuguese personality.
