Marina Mota e Maria João Bastos at the Ourense Film Festival
Yesterday, September 26th, took place in Galicia, the Ourense Film Festival (OUFF) in which the Portuguese actresses Marina Mota and Maria João Bastos were present and were able to watch, together with the actors Maria Mera, Chechu Salgado, Miro Magariños and Machi Salgado, the viewing of the first episode of Motel Valkirias, a co-production between SPi and CTV.
Jorge Marecos, Duarte Galhardas and João Pedro Lopes, from SP Televisão, Manuel Claro, Head of Business and Co-productions from SPi, and José Fragoso and Marina Ramos representing RTP, were also present at the event.
The recordings of Motel Valkirias, which took place between January and March this year, were split between the landscapes of Montalegre and Galicia. The action takes place in a unique place, which has as main décor a motel with a picturesque aesthetics that gives the story a mysterious and, at the same time, disturbing atmosphere. The trio of women who star in this series, we are talking about Marina Mota, Maria Mera and Maria João Bastos, perfectly captures the essence of this dramedy.
This production intends to become a symbol of union between Galicia and Portugal and a sample of both cultures. With a guaranteed premiere on RTP, whose date has yet to be announced by the state channel, and on TVG, Motel Valkirias will also be part of the international catalogue on two streaming platforms.
