SP TELEVISÃO: Chapter 2 – The consolidation of a brand

SP Televisão consolidates itself in the national market as a reference producer, thanks to the fiction products for RTP and SIC, highlighting telenovelas for the private station that are audience leaders, such as Perfect Heart, Salty Sea and Water Mirror.

In 2011, as already mentioned, the telenovela Blood Ties receives the International Emmy, which happened for the second time in Portuguese audiovisual fiction.

RTP fiction experienced a period of great importance, in terms of quality and public response, with series that made a difference in the public channel's fiction offer, such as Father by Chance, New Beginning and Welcome to Beirais, which were a remarkable success, as well as Day by Day, shown at lunchtime. 

SP Televisão began co-productions with international partners, of note being the production of the series Diretct Flight with the Angolan producer Semba, shown on Angolan public television, TPA and on RTP, and with Brazilian television Globo, with the remake of the soap opera Dancin' Days.

At the same time SP Televisão began exporting its projects. The first titles marketed were the series Naked City, Diretct Flight and Red Moon.

Currently, SP Televisão has more than 120 contents sold in 32 countries.

The trust placed in SP Televisão by two national channels, one private and one public, as well as the recognition of international production companies that associate themselves for fiction works, are proof of SP Televisão's consolidation as a leader in the national market.
