Sara Matos wins Globo de Ouro for best fiction actress
The actress Sara Matos won the Golden Globe for Best Fictional Actress at the 27th Gala hosted by SIC on October 1st.
Sara Matos played three roles - three twins - in the novela The Secret, produced by SP Televisão for SIC, excellent performances that have now been recognized with one of the most important awards for actors in Portugal.
Sara Matos shared the award with the people she has worked with since the beginning of her professional career, saying she felt "privileged to be around by such incredible colleagues" and of whom she is "a complete fan".
She thanked SP and SIC, as well as the public who "cherish and follow her", and finally dedicated the award to her son Manuel.
Sara Matos began her acting career in the series Morangos com Açúcar, in 2009, and has also presented entertainment programs such as Ídolos and Dança com as Estrelas.
Since 2016, she has taken part in the novelas More Than Love, Tangled Lives, Wild Land, Our Love Song and High Note, produced by SP Televisão for SIC.
Also nominated from the SPTV group were Bárbara Branco, for her leading role in Timeless Love, and Marina Mota who plays the character Carolina in the series Motel Valkirias. In the Best Actor in Fiction category, Miguel Raposo was nominated for his character Rui in the series Da Mood.
For Best Project in the Fiction category, the series Motel Valkirias, a co-production between SPi and the Spanish producer CTV, was nominated.
