SALTO DE FÉ: SP Televisão's new comedy series premieres on RTP

RTP Prepares to Premiere its latest Comedy Series Salto de Fé on August 5

The official launch of this series, produced by SP Televisão, was celebrated with a party at the Castelo de São Jorge in Lisbon on the afternoon of July 23. The event was attended by the cast, production team, representatives from RTP, José Fragoso, Jorge Marecos from SP Televisão, and the Mayor of Fundão, Paulo Fernandes, among other guests.

Salto de Fé is a comedy series centered around the adventures and misadventures of a young and idealistic priest, burdened by his inability to tell lies, who is sent to a remote parish in the countryside. There, his Christian optimism and natural naivety are put to the test by a "flock" of sinners.

The series was written by Gonçalo Pereira, José Pinto Carneiro, Susana Romana, Ana Casaca, and Inês Gomes, and directed by Jorge Queiroga. The cast includes actors such as Diogo Valsassina, Heitor Lourenço, Luísa Cruz, Margarida Bento, Jorge Mourato, Pedro Giestas, António Machado, and João Didelet, among others.

Shooting took place in Castelo Novo, Fundão, where SP Televisão team was warmly welcomed. Jorge Marecos expressed his gratitude to the local community for their support during the shooting.

Salto de Fé premieres on August 5 on RTP 1 and RTP Play, promising to bring lots of laughs to the Portuguese audience with the antics of the young priest and the challenges in his new parish.
