The Priest Tiago is back!

July 16th marked the premiere of the 2nd season of the series SALTO DE FÉ, a production of SP Televisão for RTP.

The event took place in a particularly symbolic setting for this new phase of the series: Sítio das Marinhas, in Moita.

After the success of the first season, the series produced by SP Televisão is back on Saturday nights on RTP1, at 9pm, where we will be able to closely follow the adventures and misadventures of Father Tiago, an idealistic young man who believes in the good, but is constantly put to the test by the peculiar communities where he is deployed.

SALTO DE FÉ is a series that mixes faith, humor and social realism. A comedy series with 15 25-minute episodes, directed by Jorge Queiroga.

In the new season, Tiago arrives in a fishing village where the Christian faith has been replaced by the predictions of an unscrupulous fortune-teller. The local church is empty, shrouded in mystery and fear, and it's up to Tiago to regain the people's trust... a tricky task when you're dealing with sea monsters, humiliated fiancés and miraculous biomagnetic pillow deals.

Set in a Portuguese riverside village, in addition to Diogo Valsassina and Frederico Amaral, there are new characters who promise to mess with Father Tiago's head. Soraia Chaves, Diana Nicolau, Ivo Alexandre, Luísa Ortigoso, João Maneira, Inês Curado and Paula Só are part of the cast that will bring the inhabitants of this new village to life.

The second season of the series “SALTO DE FÉ” premieres on August 5th on RTP1 and RTP Play - RTP's official streaming platform.
