SPTV Group Fiction in the Spotlight on SIC

On January 7, several well-known SIC personalities came together at the MACAM Hotel in Lisbon to learn about the channel’s new bets for 2026. The event served as the official presentation of the network’s programming schedule for the coming year, which will include a number of highly anticipated premieres and long-awaited returns — with a strong focus on Portuguese fiction.

Fiction produced by SP Televisão and SPi will once again take center stage, with the upcoming premieres of the telenovela Páginas da Vida and Lua Vermelha: Nova Geração, both set to premiere very soon.

Within SIC’s current fiction lineup, two of the channel’s latest productions remain on air. In the case of A Herança, the telenovela is expected to continue for “many more weeks” before reaching its conclusion. According to Daniel Oliveira, the ending of the story still has “more than one option” on the table. Meanwhile, Vitória is nearing the end of its first season, with a second already planned, before a final season brings the storyline to an end.

The event was attended by several actors from both upcoming and current SPTV Group projects, including Sofia Alves, Maria João Bastos, Lourenço Ortigão, Júlia Palha, Evandro Gomes, Cláudia Vieira, Ricardo Pereira, and Vanessa Giacomo.

With these new developments, SIC reinforces its commitment to a strong and diverse fiction schedule, maintaining its position as one of Portugal’s leading television networks, with successful projects from the SPTV Group continuing to play a key role in its programming.
