Synopsis
WATER MIRROR
Confronting the past...
Rita is a woman in search of who she is, as she doesn’t know her biological family. Only at 24 does she learn her parents’ name from her file at the institution that took her in as a child. She then decides to leave the Navy and make it her mission to find her family.
When she shows up at Faina Norte, the cod fishing company that Álvaro, her father, used to own, Rita is unaware of how close she is to the person who murdered him. Her mother Luísa actually knew who did it, but was so disturbed by it that she felt that she had to run away with her infant son Kiko.
Sara and Fernando are the ones running Faina Norte now, but they’ll see Rita's arrival as a threat to their peace. They are in love since they were teenagers, it was them who planned and carried through the crime 20 years ago, but things didn’t go as planned... Sara’s husband Nuno didn’t actually die and his partner Álvaro became a collateral victim in the attempted murder.
Rita’s return will put everything Sara holds dearest on the line - her sons and her business. Sara is then committed to stop Rita from getting to her mother and learning the truth about her father’s death.
