Synopsis
OUR LOVE SONG
Not every ballad has a happy ending...
Not every ballad has a happy ending... Summertime is when every other town across Protugal has some kind of celebration or religious festivity. Linda and Romeu are sing in competing bands but have been best friends since little. On his 18th birthday, she confesses that she loves him through a song that she wrote for him. They get intimate, but on the following day Romeu leaves on tour, during which he hooks up with Vanessa. Upon his return, Linda goes out to see him, on an ill-fated night for them both...
In trying to save Romeu from his father’s rage, Linda ends up being responsible for Anselmo’s “death”. On that night, the two make a vow of silence and plan to flee. Vanessa, who is carrying Anselmo’s child and witnessed everything, goes to the police and blames Linda. Linda runs away by herself to Luxembourg, where she is welcomed by Bruno, an old flame of hers, and his parents.
