SPi was present at the Huelva Festival of Iberoamerican Film

The 48th edition of the Huelva Festival of Iberoamerican Film was celebrated this month, and SPi was present for another useful meeting to share experiences that open the doors to new opportunities in the market.

Rosa Palma, Sub-Director of Business and Co-Productions at SPi, was invited to participate in the panel "Production and Financing", along with Odile António (Pecado Films) and Telmo Francisco (RTP), where they tried to clarify some of the questions about the various models of financial arrangements.

In this panel, special emphasis was given to the film Lost in Rio, a co-production between Portugal (SPi) and Spain (Pecado Films), which is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in cinemas in Spain in the summer of 2023, by Sony. RTP was present in this panel because it is the Portuguese broadcaster that bets the most on nationally produced fiction series and that has promoted international co-production the most.

The two neighboring countries are once again united in this festival to give visibility to cinematographic productions from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. Besides serving as a showcase for all that is best produced in the area of cinema, it also aims to find audiovisual synergies between Portugal and Andulazia.
