Serralves hosts SENHOR PRESIDENTE debut event
To mark today, 15 March, the premiere of the documentary SENHOR PRESIDENTE, O Campeonato de Uma Vida, on the Prime Video streaming platform, the Serralves Foundation hosted an exclusive event this evening, attended by various personalities linked to the world of football, such as the former national coach António Oliveira, as well as two great legends of Futebol Clube do Porto, Vítor Baía and João Pinto, and many other sports figures.
Among the guests were also some of our country's political and cultural personalities, including the former President of the Republic, General Ramalho Eanes, and the former Mayor of Gondomar, Major Valentim Loureiro, as well as Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa's family, his daughter Joana and grandson Nuno. After the screening of the documentary, the guests had the opportunity to share their impressions and experiences over an exclusive cocktail.
The release of SENHOR PRESIDENTE, O Campeonato de Uma Vida marks a significant moment in the history of Portuguese football and honours one of its most emblematic leaders. Written by Cristina Arvelos and Pedro Lopes, this documentary gives us a faithful portrait of Pinto da Costa, travelling through his life, both on and off the pitch, over the course of three episodes. It's an intimate first-person account, with the participation of his family, friends and many notable figures from the football world, including José Mourinho, Florentino Peréz, Joan Laporta, Angel Gil, Futre, Madjer, Deco, among many others.
